Join Our Team
We’re growing our team of lights.
Little Luminaries Therapy Services is looking for a speech-language pathologist who shares our belief that every way of communicating is worth celebrating. If you’re drawn to play-based, neurodiversity-affirming, child-led therapy—and you’re ready to build real relationships with the kids and families you work with—we’d love to hear from you.
Our Approach
At Little Luminaries, therapy is never about drills, pressure, or compliance. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and seen. Our work is strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming, grounded in play, relationship, and natural language modeling—not demands.
If you join our team, you’ll be stepping into a practice built around these same values: reducing demands rather than adding them, honoring every form of communication as legitimate, and treating families as the experts on their own children.
Current Opening: PRN Speech-Language Pathologist
We’re looking to add an experienced SLP to our team, with flexibility in how the role is structured depending on what fits your life right now.
Option 1 — Regular Weekly Caseload
Standing after-school appointment slots, 2:30–6:00 PM, on the days that work for you. Build a consistent caseload of your own clients within this window.
Option 2 — PRN / As-Needed Coverage
- Full-caseload coverage (approximately 40 pediatric clients) during an extended medical leave, Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 AM–4:45 PM, with a built-in 90-minute to 2-hour lunch break daily
- Occasional coverage for travel and illness outside of that window
These options aren’t mutually exclusive—a clinician taking the after-school caseload could also pick up PRN coverage when needed, or vice versa.
Who We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of pediatric SLP experience
- Experience supporting AAC users—comfortable with aided language modeling, core vocabulary approaches, and speech-generating devices
- An autism-informed, child-led, neurodiversity-affirming clinical approach—genuine alignment with this philosophy, not just familiarity with the terminology
- Willingness to learn Gestalt Language Processing/Natural Language Acquisition (GLP/NLA) principles if not already trained; prior experience is a strong plus
- Willingness to pursue DIR/Floortime coursework if not already certified—we’re happy to support this
- An active Tennessee SLP license and ASHA CCC
- Willingness to complete payer credentialing with a current CAQH attestation (we’re in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield)—we’ll support you through the process
What We Offer
- Competitive per-session or hourly contractor rate
- Malpractice coverage provided under the practice’s policy
- Access to our EMR, established documentation templates, and existing client charts and plans of care
- A warm, collaborative culture built around genuine clinical alignment—not just credentials
How to Apply
Tell us a bit about yourself and attach your resume—we’ll be in touch. Please include a brief note about your experience with AAC and GLP/NLA (if any), your approach to neurodiversity-affirming practice, and which option interests you.
We can’t wait to meet you.
