A Little Team with a Big Glow
Dr. Taylor Hickok, DBH, CCC-SLP is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience supporting children and families. She holds a Doctorate in Behavioral Health with an emphasis in healthcare management from Arizona State University, a Master’s in Communication Disorders (ASU), and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from UC Berkeley. Her unique training bridges the worlds of communication science, child development, and healthcare systems—giving her a broad, real-world understanding of how families access services and what support they actually need.
At Little Luminaries, Dr. Taylor brings a warm, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy. She believes that communication is more than just words—it's connection, confidence, and identity. Her sessions are play-based, relationship-driven, and completely free of drills or pressure. Instead, she creates a supportive environment where children can grow at their own pace and in their own way.
Dr. Taylor specializes in speech and language development, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), and caregiver coaching. Her background in psychology and behavioral health systems helps her design therapy that fits real life—not just clinic goals. She understands how speech therapy connects to the bigger picture—like school, home, and daily routines—and helps families navigate it all with confidence.
She’s also a parent herself, raising a bright little firefly of her own—so she knows how personal and emotional this journey can be. Her goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, flexibility, and expert care—helping your little luminary shine.

Meet Taylor MacMillan, Managing Director
Taylor MacMillan is a small business owner and health care IT security expert with over a decade of experience helping clinics across the country protect patient data and maintain regulatory compliance.
Though he works mostly behind the scenes, Taylor is the backbone of Little Luminaries. He ensures that our practice runs smoothly, securely, and in full compliance with legal and ethical standards—so that families can focus on care, not paperwork.
When he’s not managing systems and security, you can find him playing video games or enjoying time with his family.
